Maryland weather: Sunday snow to settle, though more expected Monday and Tuesday - Baltimore Sun

tutobatod.blogspot.com

Isolated snow showers in the Baltimore area are expected to wind down around 3 p.m. Sunday, though more snow is expected to come Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The area saw some snowfall Sunday as a strong Arctic cold front moved into the area. The rest of the day is expected to gradually become sunnier, with steady winds up to about 26 mph in the afternoon and gusts as high as 44 mph. A wind advisory is in effect until around 5 p.m., as gusts could blow around unsecured objects and knock over tree limbs.

A chance of snow is expected after 1 a.m. Monday, when temperatures drop to about 24 degrees. Monday’s forecast calls for a 33-degree high and a slight chance of snow after 1 p.m., though about 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected to accumulate starting at around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, with more snow expected after the sun rises. The snowfall is expected to end around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
