A new state-of-the-art medical marijuana facility is officially open in Canton.Mayor William Truly helped cut the ribbon during Tuesday's grand opening for Southern Sky Brands, which is promoted as a "farm to patient focused medical cannabis company."The 70,000-square-foot facility provides indoor cultivation, allowing the company to produce "high-quality, consistent medicinal products" for specific ailments."This facility is a drum major — it speaks to the entire nation. It speaks to the state as to how marijuana can be produced to help so many Mississippians and alleviate so much pain and so much illness," Truly, a physician, said.Southern Sky also has a wellness dispensary in Pearl, and the company’s products are sold around the state.
