Ex-NYS director general Matilda Sakwa has been appointed as the CEO of the Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya Limited (PPCK).
Head of Public Service Felix Koskei made the communication in a statement on Thursday.
"It is notified that Ms Matilda Sakwa has been redeployed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya Limited (PPCK)."
"The appointment takes effect immediately," Koskei added.
He noted that Kenya Kwanza's Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) advances the agricultural value chain as a key driver for employment and wealth creation.
In actualising the agenda, Koskei said the re-engineering of the pyrethrum value chain was identified as a priority flagship programme.
It is aimed at enhancing the earning of the country's pyrethrum farmers.
Sakwa handed over office at the NYS on Wednesday to her deputy James Tembur.
"Finally, the day is here and I'm grateful to the Almighty for the time and opportunity at the NYS," she said during a ceremony at NYS headquarters.
