Iron Horse Midstream has announced plans to build a natural gas cryogenic processing plant in Grady County, Oklahoma.

The Dallas-based company said the plant, to be constructed on its 120-acre complex in the SCOOP/STACK/Merge play in the Anadarko Basin, will have capacity to process 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. It is expected to be operational in late 2023 and will increase the company’s total natural gas processing capacity in the region to 425 MMcf/d. Iron Horse said the plant will have capacity to expand depending on customer needs.

According to a release, Iron Horse already operates a 225 MMcf/d cyrogenic natural gas processing plant in the same area of the Anadarko Basin. Additionally, it operates approximately 300 miles of high- and low-pressure natural gas gathering pipelines and multiple compressor stations.

“As production activity in this highly prolific area continues to increase, installing our second train is a natural and necessary growth opportunity,” Iron Horse Chief Executive Officer Tim Roberts said. “Expanding our processing complex provides capacity exactly where it is needed – in the core of the basin, where we have access to numerous high-quality, residue gas markets. This expansion is a testament to our continued focus on providing reliable, customized and flexible midstream solutions to our producer customers.”
