SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - While we were able to salvage a dry day today our chances for showers will increase later tonight. Once the cold front pushes through the region overnight we will see dry weather through the middle part of the week.

Expect mostly cloudy skies tonight with the chance for showers and thunderstorms lasting into the overnight hours. It will be a mild and muggy night with lows falling back into the lower 60s.

While it will be a muggy start tomorrow morning, it looks like the bulk of the shower activity will have come to an end and our weather improves quickly. We should see developing sunshine by Monday afternoon and Tuesday is looking like the pick of the week with sunshine, low-mid 80s and a healthy breeze. Temperatures stay warm Wednesday with a slow uptick in humidity, then we look humid, warm and unsettled from late Thursday through late Friday. Nicer weather looks to follow for the following Father’s Day weekend for now.
