Antique, restored and customized cars lined the streets of Memorial Park Friday morning at the annual Nebraskaland Days car show, then paraded through downtown.

The North Platte Ambassadors from the Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraskaland Days board of directors led the parade. Miss Rodeo America rode in one of the lead vehicles, followed by Miss Rodeo Nebraska and Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska.

Sailors from the U.S.S. Nebraska nuclear submarine on shore leave walked near the front of the parade.

Families lined Dewey St. to watch the colorful cars roll by and scramble for candy.

It was one of the largest car parades in Nebraskaland Days history, blessed by a welcome cloud cover that provided some relief from the heat.
