CASPER, Wyo. — The start to the coming week may be a rainy one for Casper-area residents. After that, though, the skies are expected to clear up for a few days.

Today, the National Weather Service in Riverton reports a slight 20% chance of scattered showers in the mid-morning hours. However, that likelihood grows to 60% as the day progresses. Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected between noon and 5 p.m.

Temperatures are predicted to reach a high of 82 degrees on Sunday, with moderate winds capable of gusting up to 22 mph throughout the day as well.

At night, temperatures will likely drop to a low of roughly 56 degrees, the NWS in Riverton reports. Meanwhile, the 60% chance of rain will remain, and thunderstorms are likely throughout the night.

Monday could be another wet day, with a 30% chance of showers throughout and thunderstorms also possible after 9 a.m. The NWS in Riverton predicts temperatures to reach a high of 77 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

On Tuesday, however, the skies will clear. The NWS in Riverton’s forecast calls for sunny conditions and very little cloud coverage throughout the day. Temperatures will likely reach a high of 83.
